Working in textile construction, sculpture and embroidery - materials and environment are intrinsic to Emily’s practice. She predominantly seeks natural materials: homegrown | vintage | discarded | foraged; and creates amalgamated works that explore and honour their unique properties.

Emily explores the notion of belonging via the visual recording of places past and present - through textures, patterns, colours and shapes and she considers our interconnectedness and as well as our individuality; the provenance of our selves and our reliance on nature.
